What a beauty. This wine is drinking great and while it may age gracefully, it won't get more enjoyable for my tastes. Purple in color with ruby swirls. The nose has red licorice, black cherries, cherries and spice. On the palate, this has a wonderful texture. Juicy acidity. Lots of cherry fruit over a bit of char. Long finish. This is delicious on its own. Gulpable. It will work with roasted or grilled meats, veggies or fowl but needs bigger foods. It should be at this level for another five years and then start morphing into more of a claret style.

This is another take on fruit from this vineyard by a quality producer. It is a bit lower in ripeness and alcohol than the other producers I have tried but just as good. Deep ruby in color with some purple swirls. On the nose there is cherries, slight sour cherries, still a bit of bramble and a hint of gravel. Full bodied. On the palate, this is concentrated with nice energy. Cherry and black cherry fruit over minerality. Some depth and complexity. Delicious. Juicy acidity. Nice finish. Limerick lane is making some of the best Zinfandels. They are world class red wines. This is a big, intense Zinfandel at the moment that is delicious to drink. It should calm down for those who prefer more of a claret style. Deep ruby in color. The nose has black raspberries, blueberries, black pepper and char. On the palate, this has a lush texture. Juicy black raspberry fruit. Underlying char. Deep and complex. Long finish. This drinks great on its own or will work well with ribs or grilled meats.

This is this excellent Zinfandel producer's basic wine. It is a very nice value. In terms of style, it is middle of the road between a fruit bomb and a claret styled Zin. Purple in color with some ruby swirls. The nose is nice with cherries, black cherries, slight char and bramble. On the palate, the cherries come thru. This drinks easy with a slight complexity. Some cough syrupy notes on the finish. This probably should be consumed over the next three to five years. Nice on its own, this will work well with burgers or ribs off the grill.

One of the better Zinfandel's that I have tasted. Purple in color. The nose has black cherries, spice, slight mint and char. On the palate, this has a gorgeous texture. Plush, juicy and full bodied. Black cherries and raspberry fruit with some charred wood and spice. Delicious. Deep. Young and vibrant, it would be a shame not to enjoy at least one this way although it seems to have the stuffing to age for a decade. It will work well with grilled foods or Asian foods and is great on its own.

One of the better single vineyard Bedrock Zinfandels. While this could age well for a decade or more, there is something about the energy and fruit of consuming them young. It just depends on what you like. Purple in color. The nose is great with black raspberries, black cherries, spice and bramble. On the palate, there is some black raspberry but a bit of strawberry in the back ground. Underlying some smoke/fireworks. Great texture. Delicious wine that makes it hard not to gulp.
