From Magnum.  The bottle was opened, checked for correctness, and allowed to breathe for eight hours.  This is a blend of 42% Grenache, 24% Mourvedre, 21% Syrah, 8% Counoise, and 5% Roussanne.  Purple in color with some  ruby hues, opaque and bright.  The nose is big with black raspberries, black cherries, slight chocolate, white pepper, spice and roasted herbs.  Full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Great energy and balance.  On the palate, this is in your face delicious.  It is deep and has a nice complexity but it takes a minute to get past the lushness.  Long finish.  This is still young even from a different recent 750ml but drinking well.  It should  go another twenty years with no problem.  It drinks great on its own and will work with bigger flavors.  It went well with aa Vegetable Lasagna.
