This is a proprietary Red wine from Napa. Inky purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is great with cassis, blueberries, dark chocolate, black cherries and cedar. Clean. Full bodied. Firm tannins. On the palate, cassis, cedar and chocolate. Long finish. Deep and complex. This is still drinking young, so if opening soon, give it some air. It should drink well for twenty to thirty more years. Great on its own, this is the quintessential steak house wine.

Impressive showing for this classic Napa wine. Inky purple in color and shimmering bright. The nose is big with black raspberries, blueberries, black olives, and spice. Full bodied. Firm tannins. On the palate, cassis, coffee, blueberries, spice and char. Deep but tightly wound. It unwinds in layers in the glass. Long finish. Just a fantastic wine that is just beginning to show some maturity. This is a Merlot dominant Napa Red proprietary blend from Oak Knoll. Really an impressive wine. Inky purple in color with a thin ruby rim, opaque and bright. The nose is tight (it is young) but with some air, black cherries, cherries, and milk chocolate emerge. With a bit more air, there is also cedar, cassis and slight sandalwood and dust. It took a few hours to full open up without any decanting. Full bodied. Firm tannins. On the palate, black cherries, cassis, plums, over a char and slight tobacco. Long finish. This is a blend of 42% Cabernet Franc, 42% Merlot, and 16% Cabernet Sauvignon. Impressive showing. Inky purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is tight at first but opens to show black cherries, cherries, chocolate, and brown tobacco. Full bodied. Medium tannins. Wonderful velvety texture. A more elegant side of a Napa blends but outstanding. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose has cassis, slight cigar, black cherries and spice. Full bodied. On the palate, moderate tannins. Great texture. This is young-ish but delicious and showing some complexity. cassis and black cherry fruit that is concentrated and unwinds in the glass. Long finish. Give this another five years and it should be nearing in on maturity. It should last another twenty after that. Still some upside on this wine. Great on its own or with food. A steak or brisket would be a nice match.

This is a blend of 84% Cab Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 5% Petit Verdot, and 3% Merlot. It doesn't seem fair to call this a second wine as it stands on its own as an amazing wine. 2017 was a challenging vintage yet this wine is excellent. Inky purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose has cassis, dust, pencil lead, chocolate and floral notes. Full bodied. Firm tannins. On the palate, this has depth and complexity.
