2013 Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT, Italy, Tuscany, Wine Review

Great showing for this.  This is 100% Sangiovese from Tuscany. Purple in color, slight ruby hues, opaque and bright.  The nose is deep with black cherries, black raspberries and slight cherries with a touch of forest floor and spice.  Full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this is getting close to peak.  Deep and complex.  Flavors of black cherries, black raspberries, tea leaves, and slight baking spices.  Long finish.  This should go another ten to fifteen years.  It is delicious on its own but better with food.  It will go nicely with Pasta with Bolognaise Sauce.
