I get it, many people love these wines while a smaller amount love to bash them.  Personally, I enjoy them for what they are.  I like to open them when I am not looking to sit in the leather char in my imaginary study and contemplate wines place in society over the centuries.  This is a great wine to open with neighbors who may or may not be wine geeks, but do enjoy a big red.  It is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot. Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose has cassis, black cherries, chocolate, plums and spice.  Full bodied.  Medium  tannins (at this point).  On the palate, this is big and delicious.  Loads of cassis and black cherries with some milk chocolate.  Long finish with some heat.  This is better as a cocktail but will work with big, spicy food food such as BBQ Ribs off the grill.  Drink over the next ten years.
