Deep garnet in color with some lighter ruby hues, mostly opaque and bright. The nose has cherries, slight cedar, dill and dust. Full bodied. Medium tannins. Good balance. On the palate, this is complex with tight layers. Flavors of cherries, some black cherries, spice and slight char. Good finish. This is nice on its own but better with food. It will work well with roasted duck or chicken. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years.

Long finish. This is a nice, easy drinking Rioja that should drink well for the next ten to fifteen years. Nice on its own, this is food friendly and would work well with roast meats or veggies.
I used to drink a lot of this wine and earlier vintages back in the day. Its been a while, but when a friend popped the cork, it was fun. Still a great wine. Ruby in color. The nose is earthy with slight barnyard. Cherries, slight dill, and slighter vanilla. On the palate, cherry fruit with a bit of cherry cough drops. Good acidity. Very food friendly. Softer texture. Nice depth. Seems to be drinking at or near peak but no hurry.
Ruby in color with slight browning. The nose has spice, clay and cherries. It also has a ton of dill which was off putting to some. The dill does carry thru to the palate, so be warned if that is a sensitivity. Others liked it. Firm tannins. Nice black cherry fruit. Good balance. Works better with food than alone. Pretty classic Rioja in style.
Another classic Rioja albeit a slightly more modern style. This is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha. Ruby in color with a purple core, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is great with cherries, cedar, black cherries, forest floor, dust and chocolate. Full bodied. Medium tannins. Great balance. On the palate, this is delicious. Black cherries, tobacco and spice with some underlying char. Some chocolate comes out on the long finish. This is still young but already great. A couple more years in the cellar will be rewarded but this is fantastic drinking now. Drink over th
My second time trying this. The first was with my dinner in the Barcelona train station from a 375ml. We need more trains in the US. Ruby in color. The nose has nice cherries. On the palate, this has a slight amount of acid. Cherries and slightly bitter cherries. No real tannins. Just a nice, little bot of fruit wine. Drink in the next couple of years. For under $15, this is a good value and may be the choice from time to time on a restaurant list.
