Whoa! Not a wine that shows up often, and its expensive, but this wine is amazing! 15.5% abv. but there is no sign of it tasting the wine. Purple in color, just a slight hint of brown, opaque and bright. It is 90% Grenache, but this is very dark and purple for Grenache. The nose is incredible. Black cherries, floral notes, spice and slight earthiness. Overall, pretty clean. Full bodied. Great lush texture. On the palate, this is complex, deep and layered. Black cherries, spice and slight earthiness. It tastes so good, one sip makes one hungry for another. Long, long finish. Delicious. Spellbinding. This is drinking great right now, it would appear to just be getting to peak. It should have another ten to twenty years of great drinking left. Great on its own, it will work with food, but nothing too spicy that would distract from the wine.
