This luxury cuvee always impresses me for its elegance. Light golden in color. Nice mousse. The nose is great with fresh pears, slight lemons and just a whiff of toast. Clean. On the palate, this is very smooth. Lemons and a sour lemon candy note that is very pure. Not sweet at all. Great acidity, this wine is quite vibrant. Great with food. Incredibly long finish. Really a great showing.
Always a pleasure to try this wine although it underperformed expectations for the wine in this vintage. Golden in color, clear and bright. Nice mousse with lots of tiny bubbles. The nose is toasty with slight lemon and a hint of smoke. Medium bodied. On the palate, this has tart acidity. Green apples with slight lemon. Very long on the finish. This is very tasty. It seems to be about at peak or at least turning from a young vibrant Champagne to a mature one. Drink over the next ten years unless you like them old. Always a great wine, this luxury cuvee is one of the great wines of Champagne. A real treat to drink. Gold green in color with a lot of tiny bobbles. The nose is big and excellent with chalk, slight brioche, a bit of lemon cream, and slightly nutty. On the palate, this is a big wine but still very young. Great acidity. Lemons, slight vanilla, with lots of depth and complexity. A very long finish. This needs a few more years until peak but is delicious today. The score has a couple more points of upside possible.
