Screw capped.  This is a very nice Riesling and a very good value.  Light gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has lots of gun powder/petrol along with some apples.  Medium bodied.  The palate is much fresher with apples and a bit of citrus (tangerines).  Good acidity.  Nice finish.  This is nice on its own and should be very food friendly.  It would work well with southeast Asian cuisines.  Drink over the next ten years.

This is a high altitude, single vineyard Chardonnay.  Gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has apples, apple cider and slight peach.  Slightly oily texture.  On the palate, red apples predominate.  Nice finish.  Screw capped.  This tastes older than it is and a bit oxidized, but is still very pleasant.  It will work better with food.  A nice wine with Sushi.  Drink over the next few years.

Arguably the best producer of Riesling in the world.  Golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is lovely with just a hint of petrol along with peach, wet rocks and slight white flower notes.  Full bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this is sweet but with enough acidity to cut it.  Very rich.  Peach, slight pineapple and minerality.  Long finish.  Nice on its own, this will work well for dessert with a not too sweet cake.  Drink over the next thirty years.

Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose has black raspberries, slight black pepper and a hint of purple flowers.  Full bodied.  Light tannins.  On the palate, nice black raspberry fruit with some char.  Good acidity.  Nice finish.  This drinks easy and is tasty.  Drink over the next five to eight years.  A nice wine with a really good burger.

This is, of course, the second label of Chateau Latour.  In recent years the price on the seconds has sky-rocketed as well.  That said, this is an excellent wine in a really nice place right now.  Purple in color with ruby swirls, opaque and bright.  The nose is nice with cassis, tobacco, leather, slight graphite and spice.  Also a bit of the funk.  Full bodied.  Great balance.  Medium tannins.  On the palate, this is drinking well.  Nots of cassis, slight dried cherries and a bit of leather.  Some underlying char and funk.  Long finish.  Complex and deep.  Drink over the next twelve to twe

Beautiful wine.  This is a proprietary blend from one of Napa's top producers.  Bettina is the name of the owner's wife.  Purple in color, ruby at the rim, opaque and bright.  The nose is nice with cassis, chocolate, slight coffee, dust and spice.  Full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Nice balance.  On the palate, this is more on the elegant/Bordeaux style of Napa.  Cassis, black cherries, leather, and coffee with some underlying char.  Lively.  Long finish.  This is drinking well and should continue for another fifteen to twenty years.  Nice on its own, this will work with bigger foods such as P

This is a blend of 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah, and 10% Counoise from Paso Robles.  Purple in color, ruby at the rim, opaque and bright.  The nose has black raspberries, black cherries, minerals, char, slight spice and a bit or candied raspberries.  Full bodied.  Great balance.  Lots of energy.  On the palate, this is delicious.  No sign of the 15.8%abv.  Loads of black cherries, black raspberries with a slight char and plenty of minerality.  Long finish.  This is young but drinking well now.  It will get better though.  Drink over the next twenty years.  Great on its own, it nee

This was from the crazy hot, 2003 vintage. Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose has cassis, tobacco, slight leather, damp earth and spice.  Full bodied.  Good balance.  On the palate, this is ripe but certainly not over ripe.  No prunes or raisins.  A really amazing Bordeaux that is just getting to maturity.  Loads of cassis with some spice and a bit of Bordeaux funk.  Long finish.  This should continue to drink well for another ten to fifteen years.  Nice on its own, but better with food.  This went well with roasted root vegetables and rice.

This is made from grapes grown near the Lake Erie shore in northeastern Ohio.  It is cooler climate in style.  Of course, Pinot Noir is difficult to make anywhere, and this one is not only varietally correct, it is good.  Ruby in color with a few daker swirls, clear and bright.  The nose has cherries, rhubarb, slight herbal note, and a bit of spice.  Medium bodied.

This is a blend of primarily Sangiovese with Cabernet Sauvignon and a bit of Merlot.  It seemed a step or two up from the varietally labelled Sangiovese.  Purple in color with some garnet hues, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose has cherries, spice, black cherries, slight chocolate and slight forest floor.  Full bodied.  On the palate, there is some varietal complexity and depth.  Light tannins.  Flavors of cherries, black cherries and spice.  Some acidity.  Nice finish.  This drinks easy but has some depth, too.  It is nice on its own and would be a nice wine with a steak.  Drink over the
