This offers a lovely acidity along with the requisite blackberry, huckleberry, black cherry and boysenberry. There are also light red raspberry notes, as well as a more earthy component. The fruit is evident but it does not override the use of oak, acidity and tannic structure. The compelling part lies in its simplicity, and the seamless and harmonious aspects of each of these components. This is an enjoyable wine ready for a diversity of food pairings.
