The fruit for this wine was sourced from the Hein Vineyard located in the “Deep End” of Anderson Valley near the town of Navarro, in Mendocino. Hein’s proximity to the Pacific Ocean encourages brighter, more citrus-focused flavors and acidity. The fruit was whole cluster pressed to tank and settled for 24 hours. The wine was fermented in a 900-gallon French oak oval tank and aged for 5 months sur lie. The result is a lithe wine, one that offers food-friendly acidity with soft lomon verbena, subtle lime kefir, whispers of grapfruit, white peach and Asian pear. A solid wine that upholds the best iterations of pinot gris.
