Light golden in color with slight green swirls.  The nose has some lime and pears and also some minerals.  On the palate, this is a nice, slightly oily texture.  Minerals.  Lighter in body.  Very easy drinking.  No bitterness.  Ligurian wines are not that common in the US.  Retails for $24.

This is 100% Godello from mostly older vines in northwest Spain.  Light silvery gold in color.  The nose is about minerals and crushed shells.  On the palate, this has nice acidity.  Not a big wine but steely/clean.  Lots of minerality.  Slightly oily texture.  Nice finish.  Will work great with sea food.  Made for early drinking.  $18 retail is fair.  

This is a young wine from Rioja using Sauvignon Blanc grapes.  It is a bit of a different take on both white Rioja and Sauvignon Blanc.  Light silvery gold in color.  The nose is very nice.  There is some grapefruit but mostly this has a refreshing clean aroma to it with some underlying minerals.  On the palate, this is again, about the minerality.  A very round wine and easy to drink.  Some citrus and acidity but not dominant.  Works fine on its own bout will work with lighter foods.  Retails for around $15 which is a nice value.  

This is from the Basque region of Spain.  It is a bit richer and more elegant than most Txacolis.  Also no spritz.  Light golden in color.  The nose has some citrus and minerals.  On the palate, this is tart but also rich bodied.  Some citrusy notes.  Good finish.  This is very food friendly but needs light and medium bodied foods.  Retails for $20 which is fair.  Made from the Hondarrabi Zuri grape.  

2016 is a great vintage in the southern Rhone which makes it a really great vintage to stock up on Cotes du Rhone.  This is a white wine but should last for at least five years despite its $15 retail price tag.  Light green gold in color.  The nose has nice grapefruit with minerals.  On the palate, there is a nice tart acidity.  More peach than citrus.  Long finish.  Very food friendly.  Great value.  

Always a favorite, this has a new, more attractive label.  Not as industrial as the older label.  Light green/gold in color.  The nose is nice with limes and minerals.  On the palate, this has good acidity.  Some lime.  Long finish.  $14 per 1 ltr bottle is a great price.  Perfect for large get together s.  Varietally correct.  Food friendly.  Easy to drink with a wide variety of foods or on its own.  Should last five years.  

Consistently one of the great wine values, year in and year out.  This retails for $10.  Light golden in color with some green swirls.  The nose has nice minerality, slight melon and citrus.  On the palate, this drinks easy.  A slightly bitter citrus pith note which is nice, but also some melon and underlying minerality.  Easy.  Not complex but not nothing either.  Good balance.  Works with lighter and medium weight foods and on its own.  Drink them young as while the wine is still good after a few years, the freshness fades.  

Its always nice to find actual Champagne that retails for $30 (or less).  This is one and is a very nice value.  Light golden in color.  A good amount of very small bubbles.  The nose has minerals with slight ginger notes.  Good acidity.  Nice balance and finish.  This is very food friendly and will match a wide variety of foods.  It is dry and will also work for celebrations (but don't limit it to that).  

Green gold in color.  The nose is already showing some petrol which is a bit concerning for a 2015.  Also some slight grapefruit and bit of wet rocks.  On the palate, this is slightly tart.  Labeled as Trocken, it is mostly dry.  Some minerals.  A bit of lemon fruit.  Not sure where this goes from here.  It retails for around $20.
