This is a late release served at the winery.  It spent an extra six years in large barrels.  Silvery gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is clean with lemons, minerality and slight apricot notes.  Creamy texture but also crisp acidity.  On the palate, the lemons and slight apricot come thru with underlying minerality.  Long finish.  This wine shows a lot of complexity but undoubtedly will continue to mature for a few more years.  Drink over the next twenty years.  This is great on its own and will be even better with almost any food.  It would be great with Szechuan food.

Silvery gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has slight apple with some peaches along with a nice minerality.  Good acidity.  Nice texture.  One of those wines that seems like it will have some sweetness but is in fact, dry to the taste.  On the palate, a bit of grapefruits and a bunch of peaches and minerality.  Light bodied but with plenty or energy.  It drinks easily.  Delicious.  This needs a few more years to full maturity, but is still nice now.  Drink over the next twenty years (or more).  This would work well with Thai curries.

Yellow gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with minerals and slight peach.  Medium bodied.  Moderate acidity.  On the palate, minerals and slight peach again.  some depth.  Dry tannins.  Moderate finish.  This should drink well for the next ten years.  Better with food.  A nice wine with fried zuchini or other veggies.

These vines averaged over 40 years of age.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has some diesel and slight botrytis along with lemon peel and minerals.  Medium bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this is clean.  Complex and deep.  Wonderful minerality with a some peach comes thru.  Long finish.  This is drinking beautifully but should easily go another eight to ten years.  It is great on its own and will work nice with Thai food.

Beautiful bottle with a lot of  potential.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is full of minerals with a slight petrol note.  With air, red apples come out.  Slightly oily texture which is nice.  On the palate, lemons with underlying minerality.  Very deep with a long finish.  This just kept improving in the glass.  It probably  needs a couple/few more years in the cellar and should drink well for another twelve to fifteen after than.  This would work well with grilled trout but also a wide variety of foods as it seems very food friendly.

This is made from various terraced vineyards and brought up in stainless steel tanks.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has minerals, slight floral notes and a slight pineapple quality.  Nice texture.  There does seem to be a bit of sweetness which is surprising although it certainly would not be considered a sweet or even semi-sweet wine.  On the palate, there is a nice quince note with underlying minerality.  It is delicious and ready to drink now but should last for another eight to ten years easily.  It drinks well on its own and will work great with (not too spicy) Thai

From a "premier cru" vineyard that has the oldest vines used by Schloss Gobelsburg.  Green/yellow/gold in color, clear and bright.  The wine has some heft to it, even in thinner vintages.  It is fuller, "meatier" than the Gaisberg vineyard.  Lots of minerals and spice, and some floral notes.  Medium to full bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, slight peach, but this is more about minerality and spice.  Dry.  Long finish.  This is delicious now, but really needs a few years to flesh out.

A very different vintage from the generous 2019, this wine shows a lot of concentration and reflects the "premier cru" vineyard.  Yellow/golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose features spice, minerals but also a bit of tropical fruits/pineapple.  Medium bodied.  Slightly viscous in texture.  On the palate, this is dry and tight, but unwinds in the glass.  Lots of minerality, some pineapple, along with slight tannins.  Long finish.  This drinks well on its own but will work better with food.  This would work well with a yellow curry dish.  Hold for a few years and then drink over the n

Consumed at the winery.  Made from younger vines in Gaisberg and Heiligenstein.  Light yellow/hay/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is tight but with good minerality and light alfalfa notes.  Medium bodied.  Slightly viscous texture.  Bolder on the palate with good acidity.  Slight pineapple notes with minerality.  Long finish.  This is a nice value and drinking well now.  A bit generic in profile but that's ok.  It drinks well on its own and should be very food friendly.  Fried zucchini strips would work very well.  Drink over the next five to seven years.
