Probably my favorite Zinfandel from the Turley offerings.  Deep garnet in color, Mostly opaque and bright.  The nose has back cherries, black cherries, bramble and black pepper.  Full bodied.  Light tannins.  Lots of energy.  On the palate, this is delicious.  Of course young, but drinking well.  Black cherries, cherries, spice and slight char.  Long finish.  This will drink well over the next ten years.  Great on its own, this would be perfect with a burger or ribs on the grill.

This is a more easy going style of Cote Rotie.  Purple in color with ruby swirls, opaque and bright.  The nose has black raspberries, slight bacon fat, white pepper and some violets.  Full bodied.  Nice acidity.  On the palate, black cherry fruit with black pepper.  Long finish.  Light tannins.  This is drinking well now and should continue to drink well for another ten to twelve years.  It will work better with food than on its own.  A brisket sandwich would work well.

Pop and pour, this is drinking very well.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is great with cassis, black cherries, tobacco and spice.  Full bodied.  On the palate, this has nice tight layering that unwinds in the glass.  Light tannins.  Notes of cassis, black cherries, slight chocolate, and char.  Great balance.  Long finish.  Still a bit on the young side but no harm in opening a bottle.  This will drink well for another ten to fifteen years.  Great on its own, even better with food.  Pot roast would be a great choice.

This was a fun bottle.  It is a white wine that comes in a one-liter bottle with a crown cap.  Light golden in color.  It is made from Welschriesling, Feteasca Regala and Grünspitz grapes.  Light golden in color with silvery hues, clear and bright.  Light bodied.  The nose has pears with minerality.  on the palate, this is dry.  Pears with minerality.  Crisp and clean.  Easy to drink.  Thise drinks well on its own and would be nice with lighter foods and salad.  Drink over the next few years.

Very nice take on the Gewurztraminer grape.  This is certified Biodynamic from relatively young vines (under 15 years old).  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice but does not have the Lychee Nut that I associate with the grape.  More of a floral quality to it, with minerality and slight ginger note.  Medium bodied.  Semi-sweet on the palate.  This is very enjoyable to drink.  It drinks quite easy with lots of round notes.  It drinks well on its own but will work better with food.  This would work well with roasted duck or chicken.  Drink over the next few years.

Nice to revisit this wine.  It seems full mature at this point.  Golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has some limes along with a touch of yellow grapefruit and a bit of petrol.  Medium bodied.  On the palate, this has a nice complexity.  Citrus and minerality.  With age this has rounded out and while it drinks well on its own, it is very food friendly.  Drink over the next five to ten years.

2017 Tement Sauvignon Blanc Graßnitzberg, Austria, Südsteiermark, Wine Review

One of the truly special producers of Sauvignon Blanc from Austria.  Yellow/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is tight at first but opens to show limes, slight lemons, nice minerality and a variety of wildflowers and herbs (sort of like standing in a field).  Medium bodied.  Dry.  On the palate, this is complex with minerality and the display or herbal notes along with some lemon qualities.  A very long finish.  World class.  Drinking well, if young now, this seems like it could easily go another twenty years.  Great on its own, this will work well with seafood but also Thai food.

This is a biodynamic blend of 50% Gelber Traminer, 50% Roter Traminer from Austria.  Golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has grapefruit, slight lime and a bit of honey.  Medium bodied.  On the palate, this is crisp but has a slight sweetness that works well together.  Some citrus, too.  Nice finish.  There is a lot of concentration and depth to this.  Drinking well at age 7, it probably should be drunk in the next three to five years.  It would work well with spicy Thai or Chinese food.

What a beautiful wine.  Inky purple in color, ruby rim, opaque and bright.  The nose is very concentrated with cassis, baking spice, slight chocolate and a hint of char.  Full bodied with a lush texture.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, this is concentrated as well.  It took a couple of hours to open up.  Once it did, lots of cassis with coffee, spice and chocolate.  Lots of energy.  Long finish.  This is drinking well now but should continue to for another ten to fifteen years.  It drinks great on its own and will work well with roasted meats and veggies.

This is a blend of 76% Petite Sirah, 20% Syrah, and 4% Viognier from Amodor County in California.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is great with blackberries, black raspberries, black pepper and cumin and cardamon.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, this is very primary still but delicious.  Loads of blackberries and black raspberries with exotic spices and pepper.  Enough acidity to carry through.  Long finish.  This is delicious on its own and would be a nice match with Indian cuisine.  Drink over the next twenty years.
