Pale silvery/gold in color. A very nice head of smaller bubbles. The nose has a nice seltzer quality with good minerality and slight soap. On the palate, this is clean with good acidity. Lemons with a slight mint note. Good finish. A really nice way to begin an event and share with friends. Probably better to drink sooner than later.
This was more "bubbly" than the 85 Dom Perignon served with it although in the end, the Dom was the better still wine. That said, this was a great showing for this wine at age 38. Deeper golden in color with a fair amount of smaller bubbles. The nose is nice with ginger, caramel, and slight apple cider notes. Fuller in body. On the palate, this is still robust with ginger, slight red apples and just a bit of toast. Long finish. Certainly past prime but with a lot to offer. Nice on its own, better with a bit of food. Very enjoyable.
Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Silvery light gold in color. A nice amount of smaller bubbles. The nose has seltzer and gun powder. On the palate, this is lively. Plenty of a (red) apples with a tart sourness that is very nice. A reasonably long finish. This is an affordable Champagne that is very user friendly. It will work well on its own and with just about any foods but especially salty foods. This should be consumed within the first few years of release. There was no disgorgement date on this bottle so purchase from stores with good turnover.
This is 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. It was disgorged on October, 2017. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has minerals, slight lemons and a bit of spice/oak. On the palate, this has good acidity. It has a lemon hard candy quality to it, that I find enjoyable. Lots of energy. Long finish. This should drink well for the next five to seven years. It will pair well with most foods.
Consumed on a Celebrity Cruise Ship (Alaska) wine tasting. A blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay. Pale golden with some green hues and a steady stream of tiny bobbles. The nose is interesting with toast and limes. Perhaps a slight bit of oxidation. On the palate, this is somewhat demur but had plenty of stuffing. On the palate, more about minerality with slight pear and a bit of chalk. An interesting bitter almond note on the finish. Good acidity. This is drinking maturely but nice right now. This is a lovely Champagne and a nice way to celebrate with friends and start an evening. Pale yellow gold in color. It has a nice mousse with lots of tiny bubbles. On the nose, there is lemons and seltzer water. On the palate, this has lemon candy. nice acidity. Slightly sweet on the finish. Some depth. This is a recent release. It is very food friendly and also drinks well on its own.
