This is a blend of 59% Pinot Noir (includes 10% traditionally macerated Pinot Noir wines), 33% Chardonnay and 8% Meunier. Pale amber/ruby/orange in color, clear and bright with a nice mousse of many tiny bubbles. The nose is starting to show some age. The grapes come from the 2006 thru the 2000 vintages. Notes of cherries. grapefruit and some oxidation. Medium bodied. On the palate, slightly thinner than expected. Flavors of baked cherries and dried cherries. Good finish. These probably should be consumed now as seems a bit past prime. That said, this is drinking very nicely today and should be very food friendly. Ham with a glazed cherry sauce would be a good choice.
