You probably have never heard of Carricante, the Italian grape that grows on Mount Etna. Centennial Mountain specifically pursued their exact location in Sonoma to bring the Italian Carricante to California, the first of its kind.

This offers very light lemon lime, white peach, red delicious apple, Asian pear, a hint of guava, minerality, good acidity, and doesn’t deviate into the typicity of Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. In addition to its excellent structure, there is also a bit of lemon rind, amber, resin, and a passing lemon meringue. This is an organic, dry farmed wine that was aged only in neutral oak to provide the fresh crisp, acidity and myriad of flavors that this grape presents. Original? Yes. Different? Yes. Worth getting a bottle and trying it for yourself? Absolutely. ORIGIN: Sonoma County. ALCOHOL: 12%.
