2024 Dakota Shy Rosé, USA, California, Napa, Wine Review

The Dakota Shy website refers to this as Rosé of Cabernet but then goes on to state it is 47% Pinot Noir, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc.  In any event, this is a delicious wine that has plenty to offer.  Light ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is clean and developed.  Aromas of strawberries, cherries and slight watermelon with a touch of minerality and a very slight earthiness.  Lovely, slightly oily texture.  Good balance.  On the palate, all the red fruits come thru nicely.  Some depth.  Good finish.  This is very nice on its own and would work with many foods.  It would be nice with a Pasta with a Cream Sauce and maybe some mushrooms.  Drink over the next couple of  years.
