As I sit here writing this note while watching the snow continue to fall, this wine takes me to early summer when the weather is warm enough to sit outside and the wine I want is easy and refreshing yet satisfying.  This is a Rosé made from Cabernet Franc in the Loire Valley in France.  Pale ruby/amber in color, clear and bright.  The nose is persistent if delicate with aromas of watermelon, peach and strawberry.  Light to medium bodied.  Nice texture.  Good acidity.  On the palate, the watermelon and strawberries come thru with a welcome bite of acidity.  Some depth.  Sitting outside on a nice evening, this bottle won't last long.  It is nice  on its own but better with food.  Something salty would be nice.  Perhaps some crackers and soft cheeses.  Drink over the next couple of years.
