Cotes du Rhone are some of the great values in wine today and this one is included. It is a blend on 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Purple in color, ruby at the rim, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is deep with black cherries, black raspberries, garrigue, slight roasted meats and herbs. Medium bodied. Light to medium tannins. Good energy and balance. On the palate, this is gulpable. It drinks easily. Flavors of black cherries and black raspberries with some spice and char Good acidity. Good finish. It is very nice on its own but better with food. This was excellent for Pizza night. Drink over the next three to five years.
