A new for varietal (Timarosso) as far as I can remember but one that will be searched for in the future. Made in stainless tanks, it seems robust and somewhat age worthy. It was described as a mythical cross between Riesling and Chardonnay. The DOC Colli Tortonesi was created in 1973 and covers 30 communes in the far east of Piedmont all within the province of Alessandria. Yellow/Gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has lemon cream, honey and slight melon. Nice texture. Full bodied. On the palate, lemon drop candy with some honey and a bit of minerality. Long finish. It was suggested at the winery that this should age for ten to fifteen years. Nice on its own, this will certainly work with sushi or other fresh seafoods.
