2023 Bedrock Wine Co. Old Vine Zinfandel, USA, California, Wine Review

This is a Zinfandel blend from various sites in California.  It is a blend of 76% Zinfandel, 11% Carignan, 5% Petite Sirah, 4% Grenache, and 3% Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Negrette, and others.  Purple in color, ruby at the rim, opaque and bright.  The nose is deep with black cherries, raspberries, leather, slight bramble and black pepper.  Medium to full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Good balance.  On the palate, this is a tasty wine with some complexity.  Flavors of black cherries, cherries, spice and char.  Good finish.  This is a great value but don't under estimate it.  A very good wine too.  Drink over the next five to eight year.  A great choice for Pizza Night.
