2022 Herman Story Syrah Nuts & Bolts, USA, California, Wine Review

What a gorgeous California (Central Coast-ish)  Syrah.  This is a blend of the York, Slide Hill, Chelle Mountain, and White Hawk vineyards.  Purple in color, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose has black raspberries, char, blueberries, slight black olive and slight lavender.  Full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Good acidity.  On the palate, flavors of black raspberries, hay, slight blueberries, black pepper and char.  Long finish.  This is very young but drinks well with some air.  It is delicious on its own and will work with bigger foods.  Indian foods such as Biryani will work well.  Drink over the next eight to twelve years.
