2022 Brugnano Ammaru Zibibbo, Italy, Sicily, Alcamo DOC, Wine Review

This is 100% Zibibbo from the island of Sicily. It is a bit different than many of the usual white wines as one finds the Zibibbo (also known as Muscat of Alexandria) grape typically more utilized for dessert wines. Yellow gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice with honeysuckle, slight peach, and hay. Medium bodied. An oily texture that is very nice. Moderate acidity. On the palate, this has great minerality with a bit of citrus and peach. Very tasty. Good finish. It drinks great on its own and would be a great match with fish especially ones that are a bit oily (i.e. Sardines, Anchovies and even Salmon). Drink over the next couple of years.
