Such a fun wine. The biggest issue I have is that I tend to drink this on (or near) Halloween as soon as I get it. It is a limited release (only 350 cases produced). This bottle is very young and while enjoyable, there is no doubt that a few years of cellaring will improve it. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose has black cherries, baking spices, slight green tobacco and some char. Full bodied. Medium tannins. On the palate, this is tight but opens with some air. Black cherries, char and slight tobacco notes. Deep and complex; it unwinds in the glass. Good finish. This bottle was consumed over the course of three days and day 3 was the best and most open. Ideally, hold for a few years and drink for fifteen after that. Lovely on its own, it worked well with Kit-Kats and Peanut M&M's, but also nice with pizza.
