This is a pleasant white that was consumed over Passover, 2023. Pale straw in color with green hues, clear and bright. The nose is nice with pear notes. Light bodied. On the palate, pears with an almond note on the finish. Easy. Short finish. This is more the type to sip on the patio on a nice day. Drink over the next year.
This is a lovely Pinot Grigio from Sicily. It comes in a tinted green clear bottles, but the wine is silvery copper/gold in color. On the nose there is a nice steeliness to it along with some limes. With air, a bit of chalk emerges. Nice acidity with a slightly oily texture. On the palate, this is dry. Notes of lemons and wintergreen. Slight tannins. The finish has sour lemon candy. This is a big wine with some warmth to it. Very refreshing on its own but worked better with a Watermelon, Feta and Mint salad. The name Romato is the term the Friulians used to describe the color which comes from the purple skins of the grapes that get very short contact with the juice before pressing. This is a very pale copper/pink colored wine. Clear and bright. The nose has pink grapefruits with some minerality and a bit of dried hay. Light bodied. Crisp acidity. On the palate, this is quite tasty. Pink grapefruit with a very slight grassy note and some minerality. Crisp finish. This is lovely on its own and will work well with vegetables or even pork or chicken dishes. Drink over the next year or two
Light green gold in color. The nose has minerals, limes and slight steely notes. On the palate, this is easy drinking. Minerals and slight citrus. Nice texture with good acidity. Clean. Good with food. Around $7 per bottle is hard to beat.
Light silvery gold in color. The nose is grassy and reminiscent of a Sauvignon Blanc. Slightly oily in texture. More about mninerals on the palate. Some tart tropical fruit. Decent acidity. Solid wine.
This is a nice Pinot Grigio made from organically grown grapes. Pale golden in color with some green hues, clear and bright. The nose is nice with citrus, slight apple and a bit of smokiness. Light to medium bodied. On the palate, this is refreshing. Nice lemons, slight orange and a bit of apples with just a hint of roasted herbs. Nice finish. This drinks well on its own and will work well with lighter foods. A nice match would be grilled fish. Drink over the next few years. Well priced!
