The name Romato is the term the Friulians used to describe the color which comes from the purple skins of the grapes that get very short contact with the juice before pressing.  This is a very pale copper/pink colored wine.  Clear and bright.  The nose has pink grapefruits with some minerality and a bit of dried hay.  Light bodied.  Crisp acidity.  On the palate, this is quite tasty.  Pink grapefruit with a very slight grassy note and some minerality.  Crisp finish.  This is lovely on its own and will work well with vegetables or even pork or chicken dishes.  Drink over the next year or two.  Nice value.
