This is a serious Rose made from Pinot Noir grapes in California. Very pale orange/pink in color, clear and bright. The nose has light strawberries and some watermelon. A nice, slightly oily texture. The palate has nice strawberries. Very clean. Refreshing. Nice finish. This drinks well on its own and would work well with foods. Grilled salmon would be a nice choice.
What a lovely Rosé and a great value as well. Sort of a pink/purple/blue color with the pink dominating, clear and bright. Very pretty. The nose is nice with typical light cherries, strawberries and watermelon but also some interesting tangerine/orange notes and a bit of a dried herbal note. Medium bodied. Semi-plush texture. Good acidity. On the palate, this is tasty with cherries, some watermelon and again a bit of orange citrus that seems to give it a jolt of acidity that livens it up and makes it very food friendly. This was an interesting Pinot Noir from northern California. Ruby in color, clear and bright. The nose has cherries, sour cherries, smoke, anise and slight menthol. Very nice. On the palate, this has a big, but very nice texture. Viscous with good acidity. On the palate, this drinks well with sour cherries, anise, sandalwood and just the faint whiff of char. Very tasty. A long finish. Those who like bigger, fresh (clean) Pinot Noir should love this wine. Drink over the next ten years. It would go well with Salmon but also roasted chicken.
