Served as part of a high end blind flight, this was perhaps my "worst" guess of the night.  Blind, I called a 2018 Solaia or Sassicaia. First off, this is very tight and just not giving up a lot.  Second, the acidity showing on this wine right now is bracing which led me to guess Italy/Tuscany.  Oh well.  This is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc.  Purple in color, ruby at  the rim, opaque and bright.  The nose has  cherries, black cherries, spice and char.  Full bodied.  Strong  acidity.  Very firm tannins.  On the palate, sour cherries and black cherries with some char.  Long finish.  Obviously young, this needs to be cellared for another ten years minimum.  It should drink well for twenty after that.  Lots of upside for this wine for those who are patient.  No smoke taint noticed (2020 was a fire year).
