This is a blend of 60% Malbec, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, and 10% Merlot grown at 4,125 feet at the certified Organic Estate vineyard of Domaine Bousquet. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is ripe with plums, black cherries, raisins, spice and char. Full bodied. Medium tannins. Moderate acidity. On the palate, this is delicious. Flavors of plums and black cherries with some raisin and char. Blind, I might have guessed it to be an Amarone (in a good way). Good finish. This is great on its own. For food, it needs some big (fatty) meat dishes. Maybe a stew. Drink over the next six to ten years.
