Wow!  The best Portuguese table wine I have ever had and a tremendous wineperiod.  It is a 50/50 blend of two vineyards with two varietals.  From Block 21 comes Alicante Bouschet and from Block 101 its Petit Verdot.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is deep with plums, blueberries, dark chocolate, and slight earthiness.  Full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Great lush texture but with enough acidity to not be overdone.  On the palate, this is delicious.  Flavors of plums, blueberries with a touch of char and dark chocolate.  Still young but it opens quickly in the glass to show some depth and complexity.  Long finish.  This is great on its own and will work well with heavier foods.  Roasted or grilled pork would be a great match.  Drink over the next ten  years.  While not inexpensive, a great value for a wine this good.
