This is 47% Grenache, 28% Mourvedre and 25% Syrah.  It would be tempting to call this a Chateauneuf styled wine, but this is clearly full of California sunshine.  Purple with ruby swirls, opaque and bright. The nose is big with black raspberries, clay, slight black cherries, and char.  On the palate, this has firm tannins.  Medium to full bodied.  Lots of black raspberry fruit with slight charred earth and some black cherries.  It is delicious right now but will no doubt get better and develop complexity.  It should continue to develop for seven to ten years and drink well for ten to twelve more after that.  Great on its own, this will work well with pot roast or even Indian food.
