This is 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. It comes in an attractive more squat bottle. Ruby in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose is warm with a dusty attic quality. Lots of cherries with garrique. Also some old wood notes. Very comforting. On the palate, this is ripe/sweet on the attack. Black cherries and slight cherry pie filling. Some acidity. This took about an hour or air to settle out. Possibly my favorite Cotes du Rhone wine. I bought a case of this back on release and this was the last bottle. No regrets, but it would be fine if I still had more. It is drinking just fine. This is a great value in red wine. It is mostly Grenache from the Southern Rhone Valley. Deep ruby in color. The nose has cherries, slight floral notes, garrique and slight salinity. On the palate, this is medium bodied. Bright cherry flavors with a bit of minerality. Some depth and complexity. Good finish. This is very food friendly, it should go well at the table with a wide variety of foods. It probably does not improve but should be good for another 5 to 7 years.
