This is a blend of 38% Grenache, 33% Mourvedre, and 29% Syrah. Purple in color with ruby at the rim, mostly opaque and bright. The nose has cherries, black raspberries, slight char and a bit of anise. Full bodied. On the palate, this is nice. Not over done. Notes of black cherries, black raspberries and plums with a slight underlying char. Good energy. Nice finish. Drinking well now, it should continue to do so for the next seven to ten years. A nice wine to have on its own or with a burger or ribs off the grill.

This is always a great value. it is a blend of 37% Syrah, 35% Grenache, 23% Mourvedre, and 3% Counoise. Tablas Creek sells vines and then sources back some of the grapes from those vineyards to make this wine. Brilliant and what a way to be a good neighbor. Inky purple in color, opaque and bright. This is a blend of 43% Grenache, 43% Syrah and 14% Mataro. It comes in at 15.6% abv, but it is not noticeable on the wine. Inky purple in color, opaque and bright. There is a bit of volatile acidity on the nose but it was not bothersome. Lots of black cherry fruit with black raspberries and white pepper. Strong acidity. This one is easily available although this particular bottle was from a 375ml bottle ($25). It is a blend of 49% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, 21% Syrah, and 5% Counoise. Purple in color, ruby at the rim. A lovely nose of black raspberries, raspberries, spice and anise. On the palate, this has firm tannins but the fruit is open and drinking well. The top wine in the Tablas creek stable. A blend of 60% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache and 10% Syrah. Tasted along side the 03, this is more animale and a bit darker fruits. Both were stunning. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose has a fair amount of barnyard/brett. If tasting blind, I would have guessed older Beaucastel. There is also plenty of plums and black raspberry fruit.
