A very impressive showing.  This is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre.  It took some time to open and then drank beautifully. Deep ruby in color.  The nose has black cherries, black raspberries, slight lavender and spice.  On the palate, the black cherries really come thru.  With air, more black raspberries over a bed of char and slight earthiness.  Great texture.  Juicy acidity.  Long finish.  This just kept showing more and more.  It will likely improve over the next five to seven years and be great drinking for another ten to fifteen after that.  It will work well with roasts or grilled meats or fowl.
