This is a blend from northern California of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is deep with black cherries, black raspberries, plums, slight leather, salinity, black pepper and slight floral note. Full bodied. Light to medium tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, this is just showing some tertiary development. Flavors of black raspberries, black cherries with underlying earthiness and minerality. Complex but not yet at peak at age 12. No harm drinking now but this should continue to evolve. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years. It is nice on its own but probably better with food. This would go well with Burritos.
