Deep ruby in color. The nose has cherries, slight bramble, and a bit of pepper. On the palate, this is lighter in style. Cherry fruit. Some warmth. It doesn't seem like this will improve but it makes for enjoyable drinking. Works better especially well with spicy Indian food. Probably should be drink in the next few years.
This is a very good, middle of the road, straight forward Zin (in a good way). Purple in color with some ruby swirls. The nose has dark cherries, raspberries, bramble and black pepper. Full bodied with a nice texture. Juicy black cherries and raspberries. Some depth. Drinking great but should age a bit and last a decade. Works with bigger foods or on its own. Delicious.
Nice to revisit this wine. It was quite rambunctious on release and while still more of a brawny Zin it has started the evolution to more claret in style. Purple in color with ruby swirls. This was a bit backward and tight and the moment. It needed some time and air although it is getting close. Purple in color. The nose is nice with black cherries, slight bramble, and raspberries. On the palate, this has a great texture. Once it opens, it is just delicious. Deep but tight. Gobs of juicy black cherries and raspberries. An underlying char. Works with big foods. Nice finish. Will it age? Yes. How well just depends on how you like you Zins.
Boy, this is in a nice place right now. Delicious and enjoyable and seems to have put on a bit of weight and showing more complexity than it did on release. Purple in color, clear and dark. The nose has nice black cherry fruit with a bit of dust and a bit of bramble. Slight tannins. The black cherry fruit continues to the palate. There is some depth here along with a bit of warm gravelly notes. Long finish. This makes easy drinking and was just as good on Day 2. It is great on its own and will go well with BBQ and other hearty or spicy foods. Great value!
