I don't recall having had this wine before but it showed very nicely. And, why not? A top vintage from Margaux? Yes, please. Ruby in color with a purple core, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is tight but with air opens to show cassis, black cherries, dusty attic and spices. Medium bodied. Medium tannins. Good balance. On the palate, flavors of black cherries, cassis, cherries, char and spice. Good finish. This is not yet at peak and if drinking soon, give it a few hours of air. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years. Better with food. Pasta or Rice with Truffles (or mushrooms) would be a great pairing.
