This is 98% Shiraz (Syrah) and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.  It is Australia's mot iconic wine.  Unfortunately, the price has really jumped in the last few years and I don't drink it as much as I used to.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is great with black raspberries, cedar, slight coffee beans, spice and a touch of floral notes.  Medium/silky tannins.  Full bodied.  Great balance.  On the palate, black raspberries with some alcohol and some oak showing.  Menthol/Eucalyptus on the finish.  It is young still but certainly delivering the goods.  Long finish.  No doubt this gets a 100 score with another five to ten years of cellaring.  It is great on its own and will work well with bigger foods.  This would work nicely with Prime Rib.  Drink over the next thirty years.
