Very nice showing for this wine.  Golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has limes, smoke/sulfur and slight white pepper.  Medium bodied.  Moderate acidity.  On the palate, lime with some hay notes.  Really pleasant, long finish.  The acidity here helps this become more food friendly although it still drinks well on its own.  It will work well with fried chicken and other fried foods.  Drink over the next five to seven years.

Yellow/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose shows smoke/sulfur which partially blows off.  Limes and slight white pepper come out.  Medium bodied.  Velvety texture.  Low acidity.  On the palate, minerals with slight limes and a hint of herbs.  This drinks easily on its own.  Drink over the next few years.

Yellow/green in color, clear and bright.  The nose has limes, herbs, and white pepper.  Medium bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this seems to have slight residual sugar.  Lime with fresh herbs.  This is refreshing and quite tasty.  Nice finish.  This drinks well on its own and would work well with foods that have a slight amount of spice/heat such as Szechwan.  Drink over the next five to seven years.

Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with limes and a fresh herbal notes.  Lovely texture.  Light tannins.  Good acidity.  Notes of limes with a slight underlying minerality.  Long finish.  This drinks well on its own and would be excellent with a wide variety of foods.  Thai foods would go well if not too spicy.  Drink over the next five to seven years.

From one of the oldest wineries in Europe and one of the oldest vineyards (first mentioned in print in 511AD), this is a beautiful Gruner.  Green/gold/silver in color, clear and bright.  The nose is pretty with slight floral notes, asparagus, apples and spice.  Full bodied.  Crisp acidity.  On the palate, this has limes, and slight lemons with underlying acidity.  Long finish.  This is a delicious wine that is showing plenty of depth and complexity.  Drink over the next ten to twelve years.  It is excellent on its own and will work well with a wide variety of foods.  A nice match would be s

Im Weingebirge is one of the oldest vineyard names in Europe first being mentioned in 511 AD.  This is a late release and really shows that even the middleweight Federspiels can age just fine.  This is just starting to get close to maturity at 7 years from vintage.  Silvery/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is tight at first but opens to show slight asparagus, yeast, spice, minerals and white pepper.  Lovely creamy texture.  Light tannins.  Nice acidity.  On the palate, this is layered and complex.  Limes with pepper and spice with underlying minerals.  A very long finish.  Just a

Biodynamic wine tasted at the winery.  Very light silvery/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is very nice with a floral note (apple blossoms?) and limes with some minerality.  Slightly oily/velvety texture.  Good acidity.  Dry.  On the palate, this is very lively.  Limes, slight herbal note and minerals.  Long finish.  This drinks so easily on its own but will work well with foods.  Of course, Wiener Schnitzel, but also some good ole Texas Chili would work well.  Drink over the next 8 to twelve years.

Biodynamic wine.  Tasted at the winery.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is tight but opens to show limes, lemon zest, floral notes, and spice.  Medium to full bodied.  Concentrated.  On the palate, the limes return along with underlying minerality and spice.  Light tannins.  Good acidity.  Long finish.  This is a delicious wine that may still improve.  Drink over the next twelve to fifteen years.
