This is a blend of 48% Carignan, 46% Grenache and 6% Syrah.  Deep ruby in color, mostly clear and bright.  The nose is warm with nice cherry fruit.  On the palate, this is medium bodied.  slightly silky texture.  The palate has cherry fruit with a bit or herbal notes underneath.  There is warmth on the finish.  This drink ok on its own and would work with burgers or stews.

This wine is outstanding.  The kinds of wine that makes people realize just how good wines from Beaujolais can be.  Ruby in color, slightly dark, clear and bright.  The nose has black cherries, spice, slight soy sauce and some anise.  On the palate, this has firm tannins.  Black cherries, slightly candied with an underlying spice/minerality.  Well balance.  This needs about three to five more years until peak and then should be good for another five to ten after that.  It will work well with fowl or heavier see food dishes.

Light ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has candied cherries and a bit of earthiness.  It is slightly sweaty.  On the palate, this drinks quite easily.  Cherry lozenges with slight anise.  Good acidity.  This begs for food though works fine on its own.  It should probably be consumed in the next year or so although it might make older bones.

Had this at a local wine shop and was told it was a sparkling Vouvray.  I don't see that on the label as it appears to Vin de Pays though that is not on the label either.  The importers web site states that this is "Based heavily on Chenin Blanc with a dollop of Chardonnay" from vineyards in Touraine.  In any event, I love Chenin Blanc and thought this was a very nice sparkler.  How much one enjoyed it seemed to be directly tied to ones appreciation fro Chenin (at least at the store).  Light gold in color with some green streaks.  On the nose, this has a nice salinity with a bit of chalk, c

This is a reasonably priced Zin.  It is slightly sweet and on the lighter style of Zin so factor that into your buying decision.  I quite enjoyed it.  Drunk over two nights, it was better on Night 2.  Deep ruby in color.  The nose has cherries, spice and dust.  On the palate, the cherries come thru.  No tannins to speak of.  Easy drinking.  Slightly sweet/ripe.  Nice finish.

This is an excellent value in Cabernet Sauvignon.  There is some Cabernet Franc in the blend.  Purple in color, ruby at the rim.  The nose has black cherries, slight coffee and slight cigar box.  On the palate, this is medium bodied with good acidity.  Black cherries over a bit of char and some dark chocolate.  Nice finish.  This drinks well right now on its own.  It will go well with a steak or burger.  It should be good for another five to seven years if well stored.

This is blended from red grapes.  I was told that it is Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon, but I have not been able to verify this.  It is a light salmon pink in color.  The nose has some strawberries and a bit of simple syrup.  On the palate, this is off dry with some tart notes.  Somewhat like Sweet Tarts.  Light cherries.  This is simple easy drinking.  For those looking for this style, this fits the bill nicely.  It probably would be best to drink these up this year.

Combine a great value in wine with a store like Costco and the result is a a very nice wine for a very nice price.   In general, I have found the Kirkland wines to be solid values, but this one, perhaps a bit more.  Purple in color.  The nose has black cherries, some spice, slight violets and hint of minerality.  On the palate, this is medium bodied.  Juicy black cherry fruit with a bit of char.  Good balance.  Nice finish.  This drinks well on its own and will work well with casual foods.  drink over the next three to five years.

Another great value from Cline.  Deep ruby in color.  The nose has cherries, raspberries, bramble and cedar.  Medium bodied.  Some depth and concentration.  The cherries come thru to the palate along with some black cherries.  Nice texture.  Drinks well on its own right now but will work with pizza or pasta or burgers.  This probably should be consumed in the next year or so.

Another great value from this winery.  Light golden in color.  The nose has lychees and a bit of minerals.  Medium bodied, slightly viscous.  Moderate acidity.  This is slightly sweet on the palate.  A bit of citrus.  Nice finish.  This drinks easily on its own and works with lighter or medium bodied foods.  Drink now, this was probably a bit fresher a year or so ago.
