After going thru a bunch of wines at the winery, our host Elena asked if we would like to try their Moscato. After visiting four wineries that day drinking mostly young Barolo, it was a welcome finish. 5.5% abv. silvery/green/slight gold in color, clear and bright with a large amount of smaller bubbles. The nose is nice with apricot, slight pineapple, honey and seltzer water. Medium bodied. Enough acidity to balance the sweetness. On the palate, this is clean. Slightly sweet. Flavors of apricot and honey. Nice, long finish. This is refreshing and would work as an aperitif or with a more savory dessert such as a Polenta Cake with fresh fruit. Drink over the next year or two.
