This wine is a blend of 71% Carmenere, 15% Syrah, 9% Petite Verdot, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. Deep purple in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is enticing with black raspberries, boysenberries and with air, a bit of a dusty quality to it. Medium bodied. Medium tannins. Good acidity. Lovely texture. On the palate, there is a nice complexity with tart black raspberry flavors contrast with a mild touch of ripeness/sweetness. Also a bit of dark chocolate. Long finish. This is an easy to drink wine that has some depth and seriousness. It drinks great on its own and will go with many foods. Grilled meat or fowl would work well. Drink over the next five to eight years.
