Zibibbo is also know as Muscat of Alexandria and is typically used to make dessert wines. This wine, however, is made in a dry style. Light green/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose starts off with big lime notes. With air, more lemon/lime and then some peach notes come out. There is also some minerality and salinity. Medium bodied. Slight oily texture. Good acidity. On the palate, the lime continues to be at the forefront but again with some air, peach notes emerge along with minerality. Then, big limes on the finish along with a touch of lime peel that is slightly bitter. Overall, this is an excellent white wine that is both tasty and interesting. It drinks well on its own and would be great with grilled shellfish or other seafood. Drink over the next few years. Great value!
