This is called the Absurd as Realm states it will be the best wine they produce.  However, every year could be a different varietal or blend.  This vintage is fantastic and I "suspect" a Bordeaux Blend but as far as I know, they cepage is never announced.  In any event, this is inky purple, opaque and bright.  The nose has cassis, blueberries, slight black cherries, chocolate, black olives and spice.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Great balance.  On the palate, this is delicious.  A large wine but not out of proportion.  Tight complexity.  Flavors of black and red raspberries, black cherries, dark chocolate and spice.  Long finish.  It probably needs about five to ten more years of cellaring and then should drink well for the next twenty to thirty.  Great on its own, for now it will take big, fatty foods such as Prime Rib.
