Pop the cork and had a quick taste. This was stunning! Came back a minute later and, uh-oh. TCA. This wine was badly corked. Although this happens less than it used to, it still does happen. What a shame. I will need to revisit this. Stay tuned.

It was nice to revisit this after an off bottle. This one was singing. Pale gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is great. it starts out simple but then opens to show lemon peel, slight lime, lots of minerality, salinity and a slight pineapple. Medium bodied with light tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, this took about an hour to open. It has a bit of lemons, some pineapple and deep minerality. Long finish. This is delicious on its own but better with food. It would work well with lemon pasta. It seems like this could be interesting as it ages so if you have a few, maybe
One of the truly great white wines in the world IMO. Light gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has granny smith apples, dried green apples, and ginger. Full bodied. Light tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, this is deep. Flavors of green apples with some spice. Layers of depth. Long finish. This is a white wine that really grabs one's attention. Long finish. It should drink well for another ten years. Great on its own, but better with food. It would be a great match with Spaghetti alla Chitarra.
This is a nice inexpensive white wine from the region of Abruzzo. It is made with the Trebbiano grape. Pale, silvery copper in color. The nose has citrus (grapefruit and orange) with slight mint. On the palate, this has a nice mouthfeel. Pink grapefruit flavors. Tart. It actually has some slight tannins. Long finish. This will be great at a party. it will go well with salads and pasta dishes as well well as fish or fowl. The screw cap will help it maintain its freshness but it should be drunk now.
There seem to be a lot of references to this wine as coming from Colline Teatine IGT, but the bottle states Abruzzo Bianco DOC. It is a blend of 50% Trebbiano, 30% Pecorino, and 20% Cococciola. Golden in color with silver hues, clear and bright. The nose has lots of minerality, some lemon notes and a hint of floral tones. Medium to full bodied. Slightly oily texture. Crisp acidity. On the palate apples, tart apples and minerality. Deep. Long finish. This is an excellent white wine that would be double or triple the price if the label was from a more "prestigious" area.
Lugana is a wine region in Italy along the southern side of Lake Garda. The grape is Turbiana, previously known as Trebbiano di Lugana. 13% abv. Golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is spicy with slight peach. My guess is that on release, the peach notes were stronger but have faded over time. Slightly oily texture. Medium bodied. On the palate, there is some sweetness to the wine (demi-sec?). Also apples. This bottle seemed well past prime but it may not have been a proper bottle as it has some mustiness to it. Was it TCA or just bottle stink? Not sure. Hopefully, I can
