Cabernet Franc can be tricky to grow, making sure it is ripe enough to minimize the green flavors while still preserving the green pepper and tobacco notes that make this grape so delicious. This wine manages to do this nicely. Deep ruby in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose nice with black cherries, green tobacco and dust. Nice texture. Medium tannins. Good balance. On the palate, nice black cherry fruit with some depth. A hint of anise. Long finish. This drinks well on its own and will work well with meat dishes. Stuffed peppers would be a nice choice. Drink over the next five to seven years. Made with organic grapes.
