This is a newer label (first released in 2018) that uses all vineyards owned by the Borie family outside of St-Julien (in the Haut Medoc). It is a blend of 66% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Petite Verdot. An excellent wine that is an excellent value in Bordeaux. Purple in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is deep with black cherries, cherries, a slight char, earthiness and spice. Medium to full bodied. Medium tannins. Good balance. On the palate, this drinks well with flavors of cherries, black cherries, slight milk chocolate, spice and some earthiness. Good finish. This is nice on its own and very food friendly. A nice wine with a steak or meatloaf but also Roasted Butternut Squash. Drink over the next five years.
