This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Carménère, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.  My first time trying this wine and it was impressive especially for the money.  Garnet in color, clear and bright.  The nose has black cherries, char and a fair amount of oak.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Flavors of black cherries with some dry forest floor.  A bit of Anise on the finish.  This is not for the oak averse as if the oak has not faded at this point, it is doubtful the fruit will outlast the oak.  That said, for those who don't mind the oak or even enjoy it, this drinks great on its own and would work well with grilled meats.  Drink over the next five years.
