Perhaps the best red wine that I have yet tried from Hungary.  This is world class Merlot.  14.5% abv. on the label.  Purple/black in color, opaque and dense.  On the nose, this has a classic red wine nose of black cherries, spice, cedar and chocolate.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, cherries, black cherries, coffee and spice.  This is deep and complex.  It unwinds in the glass.  Long finish.  Still on the youthful side, this may still improve.  Either way, it should drink well for another ten to fifteen years.  Delicious with Ravioli with mushrooms and truffles at the Callas Café in Budapest.
